A native of Kingston, Jamaica, whose father was a founding member of the legendary reggae group The Paragons, Sadiki (aka Pancho Kryztal) has made a name for himself as a producer, singer, songwriter and performer of reggae music. In 1986, he moved to Chicago, where the infectious sounds of the American hip-hop and R&B scenes influenced his unique and versatile vocal style. In 1996, he landed a deal with Scratchie Records, an indie label distributed by Mercury and founded by D'Arcy Wretzy of the Smashing Pumpkins and Adam Schlesinger of Fountains of Wayne. His self-titled debut was released in 1997 to critical acclaim.
Shortly afterwards, he returned to Jamaica, where he recorded a track with renowned songwriter and producer Beres Hammond. Hammond was so impressed by Sadiki's talents that he invited him join his 2002 world tour. Sadiki has since performed alongside Gyptian, Sizzla, Shaggy, Wayne Wonder, Maxi Priest, Assasin, Marcia Griffiths, K-Ci & Jo Jo, Beenie Man and Half Pint amongst others. He recently returned from the "Sound Killachi" tour in support of the mix CD "Sadiki: The Sound Killachi." His latest album, Morning's Come, which he co-produced, topped the reggae charts in Japan and is available for download online. Sadiki’s music comes to us through our sub-publishing agreement with Jack Russell Music of London.
